HELISWING

When Arcadia Spectacular commissioned Cre8it to deliver the HELISWING installation for Valley Fest 2023, the brief was unlike anything we'd tackled before.

The challenge was to transform a genuine piece of military hardware into an exciting, welcoming play experience that encouraged curiosity rather than conflict. The result was HELISWING — a large-scale interactive timber swing structure centred around the helicopter, allowing families and children to engage with the aircraft in a completely new and positive way.

More than simply constructing a swing, this project was about changing perception. By surrounding the helicopter with natural materials and playful design, the installation became a place of laughter, imagination and exploration instead of intimidation.

Designed, engineered and built by Cre8it, the project demonstrated our ability to combine creative thinking with practical problem solving under demanding festival conditions.

HELISWING wasn't a workshop build. Every aspect had to be planned so it could be transported to site, assembled in an open field and completed within an incredibly tight installation window of less than one week.

Working against the clock, our team coordinated logistics, materials and construction to ensure the attraction was completed safely, on schedule and ready to welcome thousands of visitors.

HELISWING quickly became one of Valley Fest's favourite family attractions, with children spending hours climbing aboard, swinging and interacting with the installation.
