Whoville

Every Christmas, families expect to step into a magical world — and for Avon Valley Country Park, that meant recreating the wonderfully quirky charm of Whoville.

Commissioned to design and build the centrepiece set for their seasonal Christmas experience, Cre8it delivered a fully immersive environment that transported thousands of visitors straight into the heart of the story.

Designed as a temporary installation for a short festive run, the project demanded maximum visual impact while remaining cost-effective, robust and quick to install. Through clever design, creative fabrication and in-house craftsmanship, we created a high-impact scenic environment that looked anything but temporary.

Every element of the project was produced by the Cre8it team in-house.

From the initial concept and design through to fabrication, foam carving, scenic painting, finishing and installation, we managed every stage of production ourselves. Keeping the entire process under one roof allowed us to maintain quality, react quickly to design changes and ensure every piece worked together seamlessly on site.

Alongside the Whoville set, Cre8it was commissioned to produce several additional themed features for other areas of the park.

One of the standout pieces was a full-size Victorian-style Post Office, designed and built as a completely separate installation to complement another themed area of the attraction. We also produced a variety of supporting scenic props and decorative elements, helping to enhance the visitor experience across multiple locations throughout the park.

Delivering several independent builds simultaneously required careful planning, efficient workshop management and close coordination with the event team to ensure every installation was completed on schedule.

Despite being created for a limited seasonal event, the finished experience delivered a lasting impression on thousands of visitors. Families were immersed in the colourful world of Whoville, while the additional Victorian scenic builds added depth and authenticity to the wider attraction.

This project perfectly demonstrates Cre8it's ability to take a creative brief, work within tight budgets and challenging timescales, and deliver multiple high-quality scenic environments from a single production schedule. From concept to installation, every detail was crafted in-house to create memorable experiences that brought the magic of Christmas to life.
